The Bangkok movie spa is even cooler than it sounds. Of course, there is a lot more to La Zensa Spa than simply being the Bangkok movie spa. But that is what the place is best known for and it is something you should try at least once.
Basically, the experience involves getting a foot massage and watching a movie in a super comfortable chair. You can even order popcorn and drinks. It is awesome. And best of all, the price is very reasonable.
Let’s start with the question most people have. You can, in fact, watch many new release movies. When I went in April, me and my wife watched Godzilla vs. Kong. There is always a good selection of films available. The setup is great as well with a massive projection screen and surround sound providing a movie theater like experience.
The massage element is superb. This isn’t some limp, weak foot massage by a disinterested person who probably isn’t trained. La Zensa has a staff of well-trained, professional masseuses who know what they are doing.
One of the most underrated aspects of the Bangkok movie spa experience is safety. Even with precautions in place, I haven’t necessarily felt comfortable going to the theatre. This is the perfect alternative. You can go with a friend or two, watch a movie, enjoy a foot massage and not have to worry about COVID-19.
Speaking of safety, the owners have invested in both UV light and Ozone devices to disinfect equipment and the facility each day. It’s not a big deal for me, but my wife was impressed when they told her about. My wife also thought she contracted COVID-19 at least 80 times this past year despite being in contact with no one who has it.
Moving on, La Zensa Spa offers a lot more than the movie foot massage. You will find all of your favorite treatments such as Thai massage and aromatherapy here. Each room actually has its own unique theme. I mean you can have a massage in a cave, how cool is that?
There are a few VIP treatments at La Zensa that need to be mentioned. The VIP experiences feature Hermes amenities, a plus robe and the spa’s signature treatments. It sounds pretty amazing although I’ve yet to try it.

Recommendation
The movie spa is just too good to pass up. As I noted at the start of the article, it is something you should try at least once.
Price
La Zensa Spa has prices that are cheaper than a 5-star hotel but more expensive than the random massage place on the street. I personally feel the value for money here is excellent. Additionally, the spa runs a number of promotions which they promote on their Facebook page.
Getting there
It is quite easy to find La Zensa Spa which is halfway down Ekkamai Soi 10, kitty-corner from Steps with Theera. The building is large and white and there is parking in the back. A motorbike from the Ekkamai BTS station costs THB20.
