The Bangkok Land Office can be a mysterious place for those who have never been. You’ll need to know what to expect, however, if you plan on buying or selling real estate in the Thai capital. I recently received a tour from Thailand property law expert Khun Sirichot Chaiyachot of LAFS Legal and it was an eye-opening experience.
All things considered, the process at the Land Office isn’t difficult or particularly time-consuming but it can be a nightmare if you don’t have all your documents in order. Honestly, given the language difficulties and other potential complications, I’d recommend having a lawyer assist with the process instead of going it alone when you buy real estate in Bangkok.
