3 places where you can escape the rain in the Philippines

1) Central Visayas

Those wishing to avoid typhoons and other major storms should consider Central Visayas and places like Cebu. These tend to hit the northern parts of the Philippines with the southern area of the country spared from the worse. That being said, you are trading good weather for Cebu’s notorious traffic which won’t be worth it for some.

2) Iloilo

This is just another reason to visit amazing Iloilo. It is a spectacular destination with beautiful beaches and sandbars. The region has also grown as a business hub with many BPO companies opening offices here. As far as rain goes, we’d probably avoid July which is pretty wet. The other months of rainy season tend to be better than places like Metro Manila, though.

3) Davao

You may have heard that Davao only experiences one storm per year. That myth is in no way true. But it symbolizes how pleasant the weather is compared to elsewhere in the Philippines. Rainfall here tends to be less, although more storms have occurred here in recent times.
