Your Ms. REBAP 2023 is none other than Ms. Dianne Althea R. Orillosa, President of the REBAP Ortigas Chapter and CEO of Keller Williams Ortigas-27C Realty in Metro Manila. While all of this year’s contestants and chapters were outstanding in their own right, Diane took home the crown after amazing performances at REBAP’s Hot Summer Jam – Hit the Heat.
Success wouldn’t have been possible without the support she has received from her family and friends. There was also a bond formed between all of this year’s contestants. Mr. and Ms. REBAP may be a competition, but it is one where everyone wins.
“I am still reeling from the experience and still humbled by it all. By everyone’s kind words and congratulatory messages and the camaraderie that was formed among all contestants and chapters. I’m grateful for the support and presence of my family, although it was my dad’s birthday the day before and I wasn’t mentally present. Thank you for cheering and for understanding how important this fundraiser was for me. Thank you to mom and dad. Thank you to Achi Gianne, Papa Robert and Mama Pearl,” Dianne proclaims.
If participating in the pageant’s events wasn’t enough, Dianne also took the time to sketch and design her three costumes, all of which featured butterflies. This symbol is one that has personal significance to her.
“Butterflies have always been lucky for me, and I chose to use this, even on the pageant sashes I made, as a symbol of transformation, hope and faith. Faith in metamorphosis, faith in the journey, that at the end of the struggles, things will turn out beautifully. At the end of it all, we can spread our wings and fly,” Dianne details.
However, it wasn’t simply luck on her side. Dianne’s hard work was on display not only during the talent portion of the pageant and her costumes but also through her fundraising efforts. She raised more than PHP500,000 in donations which will go towards helping the organization in addition to supporting charities and causes near and dear to her heart.
“Part of the funds will be used for the construction of the new REBAP office, and the rest will be distributed back to us so they can be donated to the charities and causes I chose,” Dianne explains. “These are patient rescue funds for Psoriasis Philippines and community feeding programs for children via sCORE Basketball Training’s charitable arm.”
Dianne also credits sponsors for backing her bid to become Ms. REBAP 2023. Their outpouring of support came as a surprise in the lead up to this year’s pageant.
“The night wouldn’t have been a success without my sponsors who shelled out funds for REBAP and donations for my chosen charities, even on such short notice. There are surprisingly a number of you, and I know more wanted to sponsor if the event had been a week later,” Dianne points out.
She continues, “Thank you to DataLand Inc, Wee Community Developers, Terra Solutions Realty, J&M Properties and Construction Corp, Time Master Watches, Interesting Asia, Urban Deca/Xur Homes, Hooked Philippines, Real Estate News Philippines, Megaworld Alpha, Center for Advanced Dentistry, PonteFino Estates, Conveyance Services Inc., and Keller Williams Ortigas-27C Realty.”
In addition to winning Ms. REBAP 2023, Dianne was also presented with a special award, Ms. Social Media Darling. This honor is given to the candidate who has best represented REBAP on social media through personal videos, photos and articles and has done well to elevate REBAP’s branding as a whole and the image and significance of the Mr. and Ms. REBAP pageant competition.
So, what’s next for Dianne after winning Ms. REBAP 2023? She will wear the crown until May 2024 before passing it on. Between now and then, her focus is on promoting REBAP more by succeeding in other areas of life and showing that Ms. REBAP is a well-rounded, licensed professional and the epitome of beauty, brains, skill, talent and heart. Hopefully, these efforts inspire even more real estate professionals to join the organization.
“Magandang umaga, everyone! To those from the south, maayong buntag sa inyong tanan, and to my sponsors from abroad buenos días! How I would convince licensed professionals to join REBAP would be through having events like these. We’re able to show them that as brokers, we don’t only have a heart for service for our clients but also a heart for charity. Giving back to our community is so important. We’re showing everyone that we’re not all about work; we have a heart for the organizations and communities that we really care about,” Dianne said during the pageant. “And although this may be competition, this event still holds true to the tagline that we have for REBAP this year which is #SynergyIsPower and #OneREBAP, because all of us came here tonight for a common cause and higher purpose, and this is a very strong proposition that we can share with all the licensed brokers in the Philippines. This is what REBAP stands for. Thank you, everyone. Muchos gracias!”
