The world’s largest ibis Styles is set to open in Bangkok as the brand continues to increase its presence in Thailand. A first phase is scheduled to welcome guests sometime this year with the full hotel to be operational by 2024. It will boast 666 key in total.
Accor is currently refurbishing The Twin Towers Hotel, a property owned by Golden Asset, although it does remain open in a limited capacity. Reservations are being accepted online through the end of October. This likely means the world’s largest ibis Styles won’t open its doors until November at the earliest.
“Bangkok has long been a strategic hub in Southeast Asia and a much-loved destination for all types of travelers from around the globe. The signing of ibis Styles Bangkok Twin Towers, the largest ibis Styles property in the world, reaffirms our positive outlook towards inbound travel and the long-term success of Thailand’s tourism industry. We are very excited to add this new trendy hotel experience to the Bangkok hotel scene and expand the presence of our renowned ibis Styles brand,” Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, said in a press release.
The ibis Styles Bangkok Twin Towers will be the brand’s ninth property in Thailand and is one of eight hotel openings for Accor in 2024.

Interesting Analysis
The Twin Towers Hotel is a peculiar property. The exterior looks outdated, but the interiors and rooms are pretty nice. The two-building hotel catered to tour groups back in the day which explains its size and awkward location between Siam and Yaowarat, also known as Bangkok’s Chinatown.
It will be interesting to see just what the world’s largest ibis Styles looks like upon refurbishment. The brand has focused mostly on new-build openings in Bangkok and has never taken on a challenge of this scale.
The reason for the two-staged opening is likely due to the fact Golden Asset still wanted to generate revenue during the conversion. With separate buildings, it allowed the refurbishment to be staggered which is why ibis Styles Bangkok Twin Towers won’t be fully operational until 2024.
