The first Anantara hotel in India is set to open later this year and details are now emerging about what to expect from this spectacular resort. Located in Jaipur, this will add a much-needed luxury option to the region as well as a destination for events and weddings.
It’s another milestone for the hotelier as it continues to expand its global presence which spans 56 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Indian Ocean. Anantara Jaipur Hotel is slated to begin operations in the fourth quarter.
“We are really excited to expand our footprint in India with this important new project that will marry Anantara’s trademark take on authentic, indigenous luxury with outstanding wedding and event facilities. Jaipur is one of India’s most vibrant destinations, with a huge destination wedding potential,” Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, said.

Anantara Jaipur Hotel will contain 150 luxurious guest rooms and suites, including four Terrace Suites with private plunge pools and a massive Royal Suite with a large terrace and private pool. The upscale design embraces local culture, a signature of Anantara.
As you would expect from the brand, the first Anantara hotel in India will boast an impressive array of dining options with everything from a specialty Indian fine dining restaurant to a rooftop bar and eatery on-site.
There has also been an emphasis placed on the hotel’s leisure and wellness facilities. Guests will find a full-service Anantara Spa, a gym, a semi-outdoor pool, a garden area and a kids’ club at the Anantara Jaipur Hotel.
