The next wave of Philippine tech disruptors were provided with much needed expertise and support during an incubation program organized by QBO Innovation Hub and the US Embassy in the Philippines. A total of 13 startups took part.
Dubbed InQbation: The Take Off, the program included a series of workshops designed to teach startup companies the skills required to scale up. Additionally, the incubator gave these Philippine tech disruptors with tools and resources to help them succeed moving forward.
“We’d like to thank the US Embassy for supporting this program. We’re encouraged by the startups’ growth through the past six months, and we hope to collaborate on more initiatives that would build a deep bench of successful startups in the Philippines,” QBO Innovation Hub Executive Director Katrina Chan explained to Philippine Information Agency.

The US Embassy in the Philippines has been very active in developing and supporting the country’s startup ecosystem. This program was the third time it has partnered with QBO Innovation Hub as the pair looks to help Philippine tech disruptors reach greater heights.
This partnership allows startups to learn from both Filipino and American experts as well as take advantage of networking, mentorship, funds and other opportunities. The goal is to create a much-needed support system for the next wave of Philippine tech disruptors.
“The innovation space in the Philippines is full of fresh ideas that address pressing global problems, and the US Embassy is here to support Filipino entrepreneurs. We hope that all participating teams continue to innovate after the program,” US Embassy Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer Pauline Anderson stated.
InQbation: The Take Off also featured a pitching competition that was won by Fitscovery. The tech startup has created a marketplace for instructors and gym studios that allows people to easily find trainers and exercise programs.
“We were grateful to have had so much support throughout the program, learning from industry experts and finding partnership opportunities,” Fitscovery CEO Michael Jiang noted. “The program helped young startups find their footing and develop solid fundamentals. We feel more confident than ever that we have a promising business ahead of us.”
