Jodd Fairs night bazaar is on the move. The popular market needed a new home as its lease expires at the end of 2023 and the good news is that you won’t have to go far to find its new location. The operator announced plans for a bigger and better space right up the road on Ratchadaphisek Road. This location previously hosted the Train Night Market Ratchada.
The new Jodd Fairs night bazaar can be found next to Big C Extra and close to the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station in Bangkok. Everything people love about the current market, or even the old Train Night Market Ratchada, will likely still be on offer in addition to a whole lot more.
That’s because it is expanding. The operator of Jodd Fairs night bazaar was selected to oversee all shopping areas at Thai developer Property Perfect’s new headquarters. This includes three floors of indoor retail space as well as an expansive outdoor market that will be similar to the current setup.
While construction of the office tower and retail podium will take two years to complete, Jodd Fairs night bazaar outdoor space is slated to begin operations at the new location early in 2024. This should keep downtime to a minimum as the market moves from its previous home.
Property Perfect handpicked Jodd Fairs to be the retail operator of the mixed-use development as the firm looks to bring some flavor to its new headquarters.
“We leased this plot 10 years ago, with 20 years remaining on the lease, and always sought a partner to manage retail spaces at our project. We spent two months to finalize a deal with the operator of Jodd Fairs,” Property Perfect Chief Executive Sanith Adhyanasakul told the Bangkok Post.

Interest Analysis
Jodd Fairs night bazaar moving is not surprising given it sits on an extremely valuable piece of land owned by retail giant Central Group through a subsidiary. Property Perfect bringing them on board to try and cater to people who loved the Train Night Market Ratchada also makes sense.
However, Jodd Fairs night bazaar and the Train Night Market Ratchada are two totally different things, and this move feels like pandering. Property Perfect knew the uproar would have been massive had it decided to do something traditional on the site. Slapping Jodd Faris branding on the building allows them sidestep potential blowback but doesn’t change the reality. Another iconic Bangkok destination is being replaced with a modern building.
