Mandarin Oriental, Da Nang is scheduled to open in 2024

Da Nang has become Vietnam’s leading tourist destination with the region attracting an impressive number of arrivals before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down international travel. Banking on a rebound, Mandarin Oriental revealed it will manage a new luxury resort in Da Nang that’s set to open in 2024.

Mandarin Oriental, Da Nang will be located on the beach between Da Nang and Hoi An. While there are a few 5-star hotels and resorts in this area, such as the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort, the Mandarin Oriental will certainly bring a new standard of luxury to this part of Da Nang.

The project is being developed by Dinh Ba Thanh, Chairman of DatVietVAC and The Nam Khang Corporation. Mandarin Oriental, Da Nang will be developed in a way that allows it to incorporate many natural Vietnamese elements and local cultural references in what’s being billed as a ‘Vietnamese Luxury’ experience.

“We are pleased to partner with one of the most prestigious brands in luxury hospitality on this exciting project, which will offer visitors an outstanding facility where they can relax in comfort and enjoy the legendary service of Mandarin Oriental,” Thanh explained. “The project aims to bring a newly defined ‘Vietnamese Luxury’ experience to the local and international market.”

There will be a total of 69 villas and 18 private residences at the resort with each one boasting landscaped gardens and a private pool. It will also feature a wide range of amenities including the Mandarin Oriental Spa, beachfront outdoor pool, water sports pavilion and Children’s Club. There will also be five restaurants and bars on-site.

“Da Nang is a leading leisure destination in Asia, and we are delighted to be working with our partners to create a world-class resort here together with residences,” James Riley, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental, noted. “The project will complement our hotel in Saigon, which will open in 2022, providing our fans with an opportunity to visit two of Vietnam’s most fascinating destinations.”
